The fifth grade begin a new unit "At home". They speak about their favourite room at home and for that the teacher show the words like vocabulary about home, furniture, and members of the family. They review the last class and then they continue with the new words. They learn the difference between house and home. The notebooks have to be close while the teacher explain that and others topics. The teacher use the vocabulary that they know and she compares with some series that the students watch on tv, for example the word backyard with backyardigans.
After that she writes a concept map in the blackboard and now they can opening their notebooks and write. They do an activity in the book of english where they have to answer questions about the rooms of their houses. They read a dialog and she ask what do they understand and then she explain better the topic and the correct pronunciation of the words.
I can observe that the children work good and many of them have abilities at the english language, but some of them are minded and they don´t put attention.

They have to read a chilean recipe and identify words for sequence that they learned the other day. The teacher give a list with words ans they have to search in the dictionary and she give them 2 good ticks to the students that finish the activity like a form of incentive. Then they start to work in groups making or creating a recipe by themselves. Each one have to do anything in the recipe and then with plasticine do the vegetables like real food. They work in groups with the objective to develop the patient and respect with their classmates, (objetivo fundamental transversal).
